Guest writer: Alison Jensen:
IDO is looking for new board members who offer diverse perspectives and backgrounds along with a broad range of experiences to represent our neighborhood.
If you have a keen interest in actively fulfilling IDO’s mission of improving the quality of life in Irvington, please consider getting involved as a member of our board. Being a part of IDO’s board is a great opportunity to become active within your neighborhood while offering your professional expertise.
We are especially interested in potential members who have extensive volunteer or professional experience in the following areas: fundraising, marketing, event planning and real estate development. However, interested candidates from other backgrounds are encouraged to apply. If you don’t wish to serve on the board but would like to volunteer, there are several active IDO committees that may need assistance.
Interested parties should send a resume and letter of interest to Nancy Larner Ruschman. Potential board members will be interviewed by the Nominating Committee and are encouraged to attend future board meetings and events before the board makes a final decision.
IDO is a working board that offers its members the opportunity to put their skills to work while providing service to your neighborhood. We are looking forward to your participation!
