Nancy Larner Ruschman
“I grew up on the eastside of Indianapolis in Holy Spirit parish, attended both Scecina and Warren Central, received my undergrad and MA degrees from Ball State University. I live in Irvington with my husband, Mark, who serves as the Chief Fine Arts Curator at the State Museum, and my daughter, Alex, who attended the Center for Inquiry downtown and is now at North Central High School. We love Irvington for its tight-knit community and strong history of grass-roots groups that work together to improve our eastside corner of the world. I’ve volunteered with various Irvington groups in the past including the Irvington Guild of Artists, HOOP (Helping Our Own People) and the Children’s Guardian Home. I have many fond memories of Irvington as a kid – going to Ellenberger Park with my mom and brothers and visiting my dad’s independent business, Indiana Surgical Inc., which was located at 5541 E Washington St.”
Nancy is Project Director at Center for P-16 Research and Collaboration, Indiana University Bloomington.
