Indianapolis Historic Preservation Commission
IHPC is a city-wide commission that preserves the character and fabric of historically significant areas and structures. Most of Irvington’s commercial district is in a protected district under the jurisdiction of IHPC for any exterior improvements and zoning changes.
LISC Indianapolis (Local Initiatives Support Corporation)
A national, nonprofit organization that supports locally based community development 
corporations and businesses. Their Small Business Commercial Facade Rebate Program provides matching grants to commercial property owners willing to renovate the street-front exteriors of their structures. These improvements could include new signage, windows, painting, and/or structural or design changes. The program funds 50-90% of total project costs, up to $20,000.
Indiana Brownfields Program
This program assists with investment in the redevelopment of brownfield properties by helping communities via educational, financial, technical, and legal assistance to identify and mitigate environmental barriers that impede local economic growth.

Promotes business development, advocacy, and resources for the Indianapolis region.
